A hybrid solar mini split pulls DC power straight from your roof to run the compressor, and falls back to grid power at night or on cloudy days. No batteries required.
One system that heats and cools your home, sourced and specced for Arizona heat: a full DC inverter mini split built to run on solar first and grid power second.
| Capacity | 24,000 BTU (2 ton) |

| Refrigerant | R32 |
| Compressor | Full DC inverter |
| Heat pump | Heating and cooling operation |
| App control | Cell phone application control and energy management |
The solar panels wire straight into the air conditioner, not into your home's electrical panel or the utility grid — there's no back-feed, so there's nothing for the utility or the building department to inspect or permit. That's what lets our crew get a full hybrid system installed in a single day. And for about the same price as a standalone 3 kilowatt solar system for your home, you get the solar panels and the air conditioning system together.
Mini split air conditioners are easy to find on overseas marketplaces. Verifying one is actually safe to install and performs the way the listing claims is harder — here's what backs the system we sell.
Not every unit on a marketplace listing has been safety-tested, and not every published efficiency number has been checked by anyone besides the factory selling it. The hybrid solar mini split we install is AHRI Certified and ETL Listed — third-party verification that it performs the way it's advertised and is safe to install in a U.S. home.
AHRI Certified means the unit's cooling capacity, SEER2, and EER2 ratings have been verified by independent, third-party testing through the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute — not just claimed by the manufacturer. The certificate is on file in AHRI's public directory under reference number 216021340.
ETL Listed (tested by Intertek, a nationally recognized testing lab) means the unit has passed the same electrical and fire-safety standards — UL 60335-1 and 60335-2-40, plus the Canadian CSA equivalents — that building departments and electrical inspectors check for before signing off on a permit. That's the difference between a system your inspector will approve and one that could get flagged.

The indoor unit mounts high on a wall and stays out of the way — here are a few common placement options.
And here's the outdoor unit in place — on a rooftop or on the ground, whichever suits your home.
The outdoor unit can go on the rooftop or on the ground, depending on what location works best for your home.
Every system we sell is professionally installed — choose whether solar panels come with it now or later.
The 2-ton (24,000 BTU) mini split, installed by our crew and powered by your electric utility. No solar panels yet, and you can add them later.
The 2-ton system connected to your electric utility, plus 8 solar panels. It runs on solar first and switches to grid power at night or on cloudy days.
The 2-ton system with 8 solar panels and no connection to the utility grid. It runs on solar power alone.
Daytime only: this system runs while the sun is out. It won't cool or heat at night or in heavy cloud cover.

Mission Solar puts its panels together at its own Texas facility instead of importing finished modules — worth knowing if you care where your equipment comes from. The panels meet Buy American Act compliance, which matters if you're working on a government or federally funded project, and every panel carries a 25-year power warranty backing it up.
Exact panel count and roof layout are confirmed at your site visit based on available roof space and shading.
Three stages, whether we're doing the work or you are.
Roof survey, rail layout, and panel mounting sized to your 3kW array.
Installation of the indoor evaporator wall-mounted unit, installation of the outdoor condensing unit, connection of the refrigerant lines, installation of the condensate drain line, leak testing, and charging of the refrigerant lines.
The unit requires a 20-amp, 220-volt single phase electrical circuit run from the main electrical panel to the hybrid solar air conditioning unit, so it can operate when there is no solar power.
